
Italian pasta recipes are one of the greatest and healthiest foods I ever ate. Cheese macaroni is one of my favorite easy italian recipes. Macaroni is so easy to make and there are so many different kinds of ways to cook it. As salads or with sauce, Italian pasta is one of the best foods ever. Personally, I like to eat baked pasta but since I don’t own an oven (so far
), I tend to eat it as salad or with tomato sauce or simply with some cheese. This recipe is a very simple recipe, basically with cheese and mushroom only. I didn’t add liquid milk because the mushrooms tend to lose water while cooking, and I didn’t want to end up with squashed macaroni. The final touch of lemon juice on top is the cherry on top.
Homemade macaroni cheese with mushrooms
Ingredients:
250g of macaroni
1 tbsp butter
1/2 onion, chopped finely
1 tsp thyme leave
2-3 stems of coriander leaves
1 tbsp milk powder
1/2 can of mushrooms, washed and cut in slices
cheese(as much as you want)
1/4 lemon piece
salt
pepper
Steps:
1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to instructions
on packet. Drain.
2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the thyme leaves.
3. Add the onions and fry until translucent.
4. Add the mushrooms and fry until soft.
5. Add the milk powder, salt and stir. It should become like a paste.
6. Add the macaroni, cheese and mix.
7. Add the coriander leaves and mix.
8. Check for salt. Squeeze the lemon piece over the macaroni and mix. Serve!
